Vacancy Quality Manager
A vacancy has become available at WEPAL-QUASIMEME. Do you have knowledge and experience in the field of quality assurance systems such as ISO 17043 and ISO 17025 and do you want to help the Proficiency Testing Team (WEPAL-QUASIMEME) of Wageningen Environmental Research to monitor and improve quality? Do you want to contribute to strengthening the results and further development of environmental laboratories worldwide? Then we are looking for you!
As quality manager, you will work in a small team that organizes proficiency tests according to ISO17043:2010 for two programs, WEPAL (Wageningen Evaluating Programmes for Analytical Laboratories) and QUASIMEME (Quality Assurance of Information in Marine Environmental Monitoring), produces test materials and sells reference materials to support the quality assurance of (environmental) laboratories.
You are responsible for the maintenance and implementation of the quality system and the management system documentation. You have a monitoring and advisory role in the correct application of the quality management system. Together with the team leader, you will ensure compliance with the established procedures.
You organize and coordinate the internal and supplier audits and you are the point of contact for the Dutch Accreditation Council.

- Organizing and coordinating audits at home and abroad
- Monitoring the competences of the WEPAL-QUASIMEME employees
- Handling incoming comments (complaints, suggestions) from clients
This is where you will work
WEPAL-QUASIMEME is part of the Team Proficiency Tests of the Wageningen Research Foundation and is a team of 10 enthusiastic employees that organizes proficiency tests for laboratories. We have been doing this for over 70 years and have been accredited since 2000 ISO17043:2010.

Your qualities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience in the field of quality assurance systems (ISO 17043 and/or ISO 17025)
- Experience in organizing and conducting internal and external audits
- Affinity with relevant quality management software ("ManualMaster" is an advantage)
- Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language
- Able to function independently and in a team
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Pro-active and careful work attitude
- Knowledge of chemical analysis techniques is an advantage

We offer, depending on your experience, a 32 hour per week contract with a competitive gross salary of between € 3,316,- and €4,734,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 9). As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
