Samenvatting (Engelstalig)

Hier text invoegenThis thesis critiques and enhances the Sustainable Livelihood Framework (SLF), which is often used to study the livelihoods of the poor. The research highlights three key limitations of the SLF: it oversimplifies the diversity of people's strategies, overlooks gender power dynamics, and fails to capture non-economic factors like identity and spirituality. The study focuses on women entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe and finds that using only the SLF misses important influences on their lives. By adding insights from Social Feminist Theory, the thesis shows that factors like gender roles, spirituality, and resilience play a crucial role in decision-making. This expanded approach gives a more complete understanding of how women entrepreneurs manage their businesses.
