Secretary & Student Recruiter
Your job
Are you an organizational talent who likes to make a difference for students? Do you enjoy being the linchpin in a dynamic team and do you enjoy working in an environment where education, administration and creativity come together? Then we are looking for you!
As a secretary and student recruiter, you will support the Nutrition & Health programme team at Wageningen University. Together with your colleague from the secretariat, you ensure that our students – more than 1000 – are helped on time and properly. You play an important role in the daily organization and in communication with prospective students.
You have a versatile position in which you combine administrative, organizational and coordinating tasks. You are the first point of contact for students, work closely with study advisors and the programme director, and are also the spider in the web for the promotion of our programmes through, among other things, the open days and online communication.
What does your work come down to in concrete terms?
- Administrative and operational support for study advisors and programme director, including administrative support for the courses we teach as a team;
- Front office for the training (staffing Mon–Fri 9:00–16:00 together with colleague), both physically and via e-mail;
- Calendar management for the team, both in Outlook and in the self-service environment for students;
- Taking minutes and preparing meetings, partly in English;
- Coordination of information activities for our programmes, such as open days (also occasionally on Saturdays or in the evening);
- Thinking along and implementing communication materials for prospective students, online and offline, in line with the university guidelines for this;
- Managing our graduation administration, including maintaining the Linkedin group with graduates.
Team
You will be part of the Nutrition & Health training team, one of the largest training teams at Wageningen University. There are ten of us and together we support our bachelor's, master's and online master's programmes. Our workplaces are located in the modern Helix building on the Wageningen Campus. Together with your colleague, you form the heart of our secretariat. You coordinate the tasks and working hours in consultation with the manager.
