During my MSc thesis project, I carried out research at the Laboratory of Nematology. It was a valuable learning experience for me as I got the freedom to be in charge of the cloning process, while there was help available from young researchers and analysts in the lab.

I also got the chance to work with advanced machinery (MALDI-TOF-MS) with proper guidance. As the results of my experiments were limited by time, I relied on literature to make my report convincing. During the last part of my thesis, when researching literature, they encouraged me to explore the literature myself. As soon as guidance was needed for interpreting older literature, help was readily available. It resulted in a report that I am proud of and a valuable experience. I am thankful that the Laboratory of Nematology made this possible.
