Screening: The Hunting Ground
Come and join us on The Hunting Ground documentary screening, organized between OtherWise Wageningen and BRAVER.
The film follows the stories of Annie and Andrea, two college students who became campus anti-rape activists after being assaulted. Confronted with a weak institutional response from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, they decided to file a 'Title IX' complaint against the University and co-founded the group 'End Rape on Campus'. The use of Title IX in campus sexual assault cases became a model for universities across the USA, including prestigious Harvard and Notre Dame.
After the screening, there will be space to talk about issues regarding sexual assault and other everyday forms of gender inequality.
