As a part of the Seriously Sustainable Week, OtherWise organises an inner sustainability workshop. We believe that in order to build a sustainable world, we need to (re-) connect to the web of life: to ourselves, to others and to the nature around us. When we truly connect rather than to separate ourselves, we feel empathy, and from empathy comes the willingness to support and take action that is in line with life. The Inner Sustainability workshops by OtherWise are a chance to discover sustainability from within, following nature-based methods.

In this particular intuitive and body-based workshop, we will practice two main exercises of Social Presencing Theater (SPT). This is a methodology that has been developed to understand current reality (in this case the environmental/climate crisis) and exploring emerging future possibilities. In this workshop, we let our bodies and intution tell a story by making constellations.

In this intuitive and body-based workshop, we will practice two main exercises of Social Presencing Theater (SPT).  We will start with a mindful warming-up exercise. From there we move into the so-called “stuck exercise”. Then we will do a “4D Mapping” in which our bodies represent sociatal sturctures, and we discover how they relate (for example: economy to the earth, education to the powerless, agriculture to community). After both exercises we make some time for reflection and sharing. You can read and watch more about the methodology here:

At its core lies Theory U, a theory “that shows how to update the operating codein our societal systems through a shift in consciousness from ego-system to eco-system awareness.” (Presencing Institute).
