Visit of a delegation from Indonesia

Did you realize that Indonesia world-wide is the second largest producer of seafood? Today, Wageningen University & Research hosted a strong delegation from Indonesia including several Professors from Universities in Bandung and Lombok, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, and the CEO of Agrinas Fishery and Aquaculture. We from the Aquaculture and Fisheries group showed examples of research data derived from mapping and animal tracking to facilitate modelling and simulations for fisheries, and explained our efforts to design sustainable fish (health) diets for different forms of aquaculture. We look forward to more collaborations on seafood research with colleagues in Indonesia.
