Run4Life: Stakeholder workshop nutrient recovery, May 17th at IFAT in Munich

Interested in the topic of nutrient recovery and reuse? On May 17th a Stakeholder Engagement Workshop will be held at the IFAT trade fair in Munich, organised by the Run4Life project in which LeAF is a partner.

The EU H2020 project Run4Life radically changes the “end of pipe” approach in wastewater treatment by efficiently recovering nutrients at the source. The integration of innovative technologies for decentralised domestic resource recovery and wastewater treatment will achieve >90% of water reuse and enable 100% of nutrients (NPK) to be recovered as hygienically safe fertilisers. This will be demonstrated in the project at four large-scale EU sites. In collaboration with fertilizer producers, the resulting products will be characterised and the possibilities for their agricultural application will be determined. End users and other stakeholders are a fundamental part of this evaluation to achieve institutional, legal and social acceptance. Please visit the project website.

LeAF is one of the partners in this project, disseminating the results and contributing to the Circular Economy by applying New Sanitation.
