Stakeholders contribute to solutions on soil management and climate change
The European Joint Programme Cofund on Soil Management (EJP SOIL) is a programme with the ambition to link knowledge development to knowledge application, and to bring about new soil management solutions. On order to achieve this ambition, strong engagement from stakeholders related to soil management is a prerequisite. Therefore, as one of its first activities, the EJP will involve European and national stakeholders in identifying and mapping the current state of knowledge, policies and soil management practices across Europe. This stocktaking should establish the baseline of available knowledge that will help identify knowledge gaps and differences in existing regional and national activities. In The Netherlands, the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality with support of the national EJP core group, is currently putting together the National Hub for stakeholder contributions.
