Space-inspired farming innovation wins the ReThink Food Challenge
- After six months of ideation, pivots, and pitching, the ReThink Food Challenge wrapped up with a Grand Finale at Omnia, Wageningen University & Research. What began with 360 students from 148 universities across 50 countries and 6 continents, narrowed down to 11 teams ready to present startup-ready innovations around sustainable food systems. -
Students design agricultural innovations inspired by space technology
- Ten student teams remain out of the forty-four that started the ReThink Food Challenge. Each has developed a startup concept around the theme of space agriculture. But this isn’t escapism: their innovations are meant to contribute to sustainable food production on Earth as well. -
Teams announcement 2025 Food Systems Innovation Challenge
- In the Food System Innovation Challenge, 24 teams from 12 different countries have been selected to implement their innovative solutions in the food system through their project. With mentoring from experts in the field and funding (up to 1000 euro), they are working on their projects starting from April until September 2025, with the Grand Finals on 30 September 2025 on Wageningen Campus.
