Unfortunately, due to the Corona virus outbreak this event is cancelled. All the best to you and your loved ones!

Join us for the One World Walk to celebrate life in all forms, and to experience diversity and inclusivity in the wider perspective of our natural history. We will walk a route of 4,6 kilometers through the forest, hills and riverside of Wageningen. Every step we take stands for 1 million years of the earth's evolution. On the walk, we will witness the formation of life on our planet, and how diverse life-forms cooperate, forming delicate ecological systems in which all members rely on each other. We will use this experience of 'deep time' to reflect on human cooperation and inclusivity among each other as well as within the wider natural system we are a part of. Regardless of race or color, we ultimately share the same ancestry; we all belong to this One World!
Wear good walking shoes and raingear if needed.
Meeting point: Scheidingslaan 1, Wageningen. At the roundabout, turn to the Scheidingslaan, the road that goes into the forest. You will find us at the end of the road at the entrance of the forest.

Lian Kasper will guide us during this walk. She develops and organises opportunities for reflection on the bridge between self, society and nature. Lian and OtherWise collaborate often on the topic of inner sustainability, for example for the previous and coming iWeeks.
This walk is based on the work of Joanna Macey, an American climate activist, system thinker and Buddhist thinker. Her work has contributed to the mental health of people engaged in activism or humanitarian pursuits for decades.

About Inner Sustainability
Sustainability is oftentimes discussed within the realm of technological solutions, policy measures or innovations. This could be called the 'outside' of sustainability. However there is also a growing awareness that at the base we are intricately connected to all life. This could be called the 'inside' of sustainability. When this connectedness is experienced consciously, decisions are made differently than when we presume to be on our own. This embodied sense of sustainability and interconnectedness is what we call 'Inner Sustainability'.
Check the OtherWise facebook or the Inner Sustainability Practice facebook for more workshops on Inner Sustainability!
