The French Collection for Plant-associated Bacteria (CIRM-Collection Française de Bactéries associées aux Plantes, CIRM-CFBP) has been recognised by the European Commission and is now an EU registered collection.

CIRM-CFBP’s registered collection is composed of plant-associated bacteria, mainly plant pathogens, and has joined the Leibniz-Institut DSMZ (Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen) in the EU Register of Collections.

As a user, obtaining a genetic resource from an EU registered collection may help you to minimise your administrative burden. If you have obtained a genetic resource from a collection included in the EU register of collections (Article 5 of EU Regulation 511/2014), you are considered to have exercised your due diligence obligations with regards to collecting information.

More information on the registered collections and how to obtain their genetic resources is found on the European Commission’s website under Register of Collections.
